HCA Florida Bayonet Point Internal Medicine Clinic Opens To expand healthcare accessibility in Hudson and surrounding communities

HUDSON, Fla (October 5, 2023) – The HCA Florida Bayonet Point Internal Medicine Clinic has opened in Hudson to help ensure equitable access to  preventive and follow-up care, particularly among the growing number of people without an established primary care physician.

Located at 13740 Office Park Court, across Fivay Road from HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, the clinic is staffed by resident physicians who have completed rigorous training at some of the world’s finest medical schools.

Residents are closely supervised by several attending board-certified physicians including Dr. Shaival Thakore, program director, and Dr. Ramon Docobo, a  member of HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital’s internal medicine core faculty.

“Every patient is treated by a resident and an attending, board-certified physician,” states Dr. Thakore, emphasizing the clinic’s commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. “This is a big step toward ensuring individuals in the area have access to preventive care.”

Nearly a third of Americans lack access to primary care, according to the 2023 report, “Closing the Primary Care Gap.” More than 100 million people in the U.S. do not have a primary care provider, according to the report.

The HCA Florida Bayonet Point Internal Medicine Clinic also offers COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines.

Appointments available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., can be scheduled by calling 727-619-0090. All major insurance plans are accepted.
