Tidings Media Is Looking for Volunteer Weather Spotters

Become a volunteer storm watcher in Pinellas, Pasco or Hillsborough Counties

In affiliation with the work we will be doing for the National Weather Service in Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties, we are looking for an entire team of “weather spotters.” There’s no specific commitment on your part other than maybe a few parties a year where we will have some food, a few drinks and potentially a cool meteorologist come in to speak with you. For now, we’re just assembling a team. You will be trained via email in June, and then you just… watch and report. You’re not locked in to ANY schedule or time commitment (other than our socials, which should definitely make your social calendar.)

For today, all you need to do is indicate your interest by sending an email to pr@tidings.media with your

Name
City
County
Cell Phone (for text alerts once we get up and running)
Preferred email address (which restates the obvious, because you’re sending us an email).

That’s it for today. We’ll get a couple dozen weather spotters in place across Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough and eventually your reports will be fed up to the National Weather Service.

You’ll get a swanky Tidings TideWatch Weather Spotter ID card later in June, which is official and is sure to impress your neighbors.

So sign up, get your binoculars out of the storage box, and get ready for some storm chasing.

THANK YOU.
