Gilabola.com – Darwin Nunez is in talks to leave Al Hilal this summer, less than a year after joining the club.
The striker from Uruguay has experienced a difficult period since moving from Liverpool for a transfer value of around IDR 920 billion last summer. He has not even appeared in a competitive match since February 16 WIB.
In February, Nunez was left out of the Saudi Pro League squad to make room for January recruit Karim Benzema.
League rules require that each team can only register eight foreign players born before 2003 in a squad of 25 players. This forced the club to drop the striker.
Nunez is said to have asked to leave after Benzema’s arrival, and the discussion process regarding his departure is still ongoing.
The 26 year old player and the club are discussing jointly terminating his contract, with a salary of around IDR 8 billion per week. However, an official announcement will only be made after the season ends.
Next Destination Club
If he really leaves, it is not certain where Nunez will continue his career. However, he is open to returning to the Premier League.
Parties in Saudi Arabia have not completely closed the opportunity to maintain it in the Middle East region. One of the clubs interested is Al Ittihad, who currently needs a striker.
Even so, the chance of this transfer is considered small, thus opening up the possibility for Nunez to move to another region.
The former Liverpool player also wants to consider options in Europe, including interest from Türkiye.
In the winter transfer market, he tried to move to Fenerbahce, but an agreement was not reached.
Meanwhile, the possibility of returning to the Premier League is still open, although there is no clear club as his destination.
Chelsea and Newcastle have previously been linked with the player, mainly because both have experienced problems in attack this season.
However, it is not known that these two teams are currently pursuing Nunez. Newcastle is actually monitoring Chelsea striker, Liam Delap.
Statistics and Performance
Wherever he ends up, Nunez will likely need time to return to his best performance because he hasn’t played at club level for almost three months.
Before being dropped from the squad, he actually started quite well, scoring six goals and four assists in 16 games in the league.
His move to the Middle East came after his playing time became increasingly limited in his final season at Liverpool.
When his team won the Premier League title, he only scored seven goals in all competitions.
While defending the club, his performance was deemed not to have met expectations if you look at the transfer fee of IDR 1.28 trillion from Benfica in 2022.
Nunez recorded 40 goals in 143 games, but was often criticized for his decision making and finishing.
Even though he left Anfield and the club brought in Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, his role has not been completely replaced.
Now, after a less than successful experience in Saudi Arabia, Nunez really needs playing time. This situation also has the potential to threaten his position as Uruguay’s main player at the World Cup next summer.
He only appeared as a substitute in two international matches in March, including the team’s 1-1 draw against England.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
