PSG Considers Recruiting Marcus Rashford in the Summer

Gilabola.com – PSG is considering recruiting Barcelona loan player, Marcus Rashford, in the summer transfer market.

Marcus Rashford has indeed shown a significant impact since he joined Barcelona on loan from Manchester United last summer.

The 28-year-old striker has been directly involved in the creation of 17 Blaugrana goals, in which he scored six goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions.

Especially regarding Rashford’s contribution to the Champions League, this is considered very important in Barca’s efforts to secure a top eight position.

Of course, the Blaugrana are also considering making his status permanent at the end of this season, even though the Catalan team is reluctant to spend the 30 million Euro transfer funds they agreed to when borrowing Rashford from Manchester United.

PSG Can Recruit Rashford

Now, expressed Caught Offside, Les Parisiens are considering signing Rashford, if Barca choose not to make the England star’s status permanent in the summer.

It was previously reported that Barca were hesitant to pay the 30 million Euro buyout clause, and would look for other ways such as a lower fee or an extension to the loan deal.

Apart from that, Rashford also needs to sign a long-term contract with a much lower salary, considering the salary cap issues that apply at Barcelona.

This uncertainty could open the door for PSG to sign a 28-year-old player who they really admire for his qualities on the pitch.

The defending champion of the French League and Champions League has been targeting Rashford for a long time. They admire him as a versatile striker with a wealth of experience at the highest level, and Rashford has a proven goalscoring record.

Meanwhile, Rashford himself has stated that he intends to remain at Barcelona after this season ends, and the Blaugrana also want to keep him.

As such – unless something drastic happens, PSG is unlikely to stand a chance of signing Rashford, with a deal expected to be reached between Barca and Manchester United.

Our Opinion

It seems that it will be difficult for PSG to bring in their loan club, Barcelona. The reason is, the player feels at home at the Catalan club and wants to continue playing with Barcas after this season is over.

Even though PSG is believed to be able to pay the 30 million Euros requested by Manchester United, Barca will look for various ways so that they can keep Rashford and the player also wants to be at Catalan.
